Newsletter February ’19

From the Committee

The schools have gone back, the nights are drawing in and your A race is probably fast becoming a distant memory, so it's time to start thinking about training through the shorter days. The good news is Tri-Force has you covered!

Welcome to the first newsletter of 2019, with the important news that the club AGM will take place on Friday 22nd March at 8pm at The Goat in St Albans, complete with bar tab! This is your opportunity to provide your thoughts on how the club is run.

The present committee members are happy to continue but are always looking for more help. If you’d like to put yourself forward, please do! You can do this by emailing Darrin at chair@tri-force.co.uk.

The other important announcement is that club fees are due from end of February. The committee have kept the membership the same as previous years and I'm sure you all agree it is fantastic value. You can renew on the link here.

Finally, we are proud to announce that the club have been awarded TriMark Club Bronze accreditation. This is a fantastic achievement and one that will help to ensure that Tri-Force has a successful and long future. The Committee

Club Training week-end

We’ve had a positive response to the offer of a club training weekend, and now is the time to say whether you’re in so we can decide if there are the numbers to go ahead. There will be multiple chances to swim bike and run across the weekend, great coaching inputs, plus as much socialising as you’d like. It will be suitable for all levels and we’ll consult with those signed up to make sure the sessions offered fit the bill for everyone who is attending.

The intent is to run this from Friday 12th April to Sunday 14th April at The Royal Hospital School, Ipswich. Please send your expression of interest to Richard Vaughan at vaughanrj@hotmail.com, within 7 days of this newsletter.

Race Series

Congratulations to everyone who completed the first event in our race series at Ashridge last month. Please make sure you’ve added your name to the google sheet for each series race you’ve entered, and you've entered with the club name Tri-Force so that we make sure everyone gets the points they’ve earned! You can also put the other races you’ve entered onto the sheet so that club members can look out for each other at events and stay in touch on everyone’s racing.

We’ve made a graphic with all the dates which we’ll share across our social media so you can save it to your phone for quick reference!
